Just wanted to send a quick thanks for coming to play at our wedding! Us, and our guests both loved it, and they were very surprised. It made the day even more special. Thanks again!

MASTER YOUR BAGPIPES

Mastering the bagpipes is a lifelong pursuit, but pipers who take their development seriously see this as a steady, rewarding journey of continuous improvement, rather than a race to a fixed end-point.

I’d be honored to work with you as you progress on this path.

I’m a self-confessed piping nerd who’s passionate about bagpipes, having played for 20 years as a professional piper, high-grade soloist, and band player, and I've been Pipe Major (band leader) of the Las Vegas Pipe Band for the last 12 years.

I’m also an experienced teacher for bagpipe soloists; a weekly class tutor with the world’s largest online piping school, Dojo University; and a regular tutor for bagpiping summer schools and piping workshops, including:

I have dozens of solo bagpipe students from the US, Canada and Australia who I teach in person and online.

If you’re interested in learning to play, or taking your piping to the next level if you already play, visit my teaching page to learn more about how we could work together, or book a meet and greet with me below.

Andy is a fun, friendly tutor, who builds great rapport with his students and explains things logically in a way that makes them simple to understand. Skype also makes lessons from across the world easy! Within a few weeks of working with him, I finally felt in control of my pipes after nearly a decade of feeling like I had no idea what I was doing. Three years on, thanks to his guidance, I’m now a Pipe Sergeant in my band, playing regular solo gigs in public, and confidently competing in solo competitions.
